You are an abolitionist writing an editorial for a newspaper before the Civil War.  Write 5 pages/1500 words addressing all of the following: Southern defenses of slavery, actual slave experiences, and your own justification for how, and when, slavery should be abolished.  Your thesis statement will state your position on slavery and how you think slavery should end (immediate, gradual, and/or colonization).
